Case Study: Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd – 18.5MW (Phase 1- 8.5 MW+ Phase 2- 10MW) (Rooftop), Pune, Maharashtra
This Plant post its extension will be the Largest Solar Rooftop Globally.Amp Energy India has commissioned an 8.5MW (Phase 1) rooftop solar plant for Skoda Auto Volkswagen India in Pune, Maharashtra. The rooftop solar plant is installed at Skoda Auto Volkswagen India’s manufacturing unit in MIDC Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra. The plant will meet estimated 15% of its energy needs at its manufacturing unit. The plant is now getting extended (Phase 2 under construction) and will be the largest rooftop solar plant globally once the additional capacity comes online.

Case Study: Cipla Ltd.- 35 (30+5) MW (Open Access), Tuljapur, Maharashtra
This plant is the Largest Solar Open Access Project in Maharashtra.Amp Energy India has partnered with Cipla to set up the Largest Solar Open Access Project in Maharashtra. This project is spread across 115 acres of land and is supplying power to Cipla’s 6 manufacturing units located in Patalganga and Kurkumbh).
As part of Cipla’s sustainability initiative, this plant will help the company avoid carbon dioxide emissions by as much as 35,000 tonnes equivalent (tCO2e) annually over its project life of 25 years.

Case Study: MP Birla Corporation.- 28MWp (Open Access), Payagpur, Uttar Pradesh
This plant is the first captive solar open access project.Amp Energy India has set up a captive solar open access project in Uttar Pradesh. This project is spread across 98.11 acres of land in Payagpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The power supplied from this solar plant is used by MP Birla Corporation for meeting their energy requirements at 2 of their manufacturing facilities located in Kundanganj, Rae Bareilly.
The plant generates about 4,43,15,000 units annually and replaces almost 75% and 50% of power requirements at the 2 facilities of MP Birla Corporation.

Case Study: Bharti Airtel Ltd.- 28MWp (Open Access), Tilhar, Uttar Pradesh
This plant is the first captive solar open access project. Amp Energy India has set up a captive solar open access project in Uttar Pradesh. As part of Airtel’s green initiative and sustainable development, this plant supplies solar power to meet the energy requirements for its data center facility (Nxtra Data) in the state. With datacentres playing a key role to India’s digital economy and this solar project (supplying power to Airtel’s data centres) supports the Government’s Digital India mission of transforming India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.

Case Study: L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Ltd.- 7.805MWp (Open Access), Hyderabad, Telangana
This plant is one of the largest behind the meter projects in India and particularly challenging because it involved working on operational metro stations at night time and only for a few hours. Amp Energy has installed 7.805 MW solar plant supplying power to L&T in Hyderabad, Telangana for the metro project to supply solar power to its 24 stations and 2 depots in the city. The solar plant generates approx 11,300 MWh of green energy in a year (equivalent to reducing approx. 8,000 MT of carbon emissions annually)and meets 15% of the total electrical consumption of the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project. This project is a perfect example of a high-quality reliable RE system powering an eco-friendly and sustainable transportation system. We believe that projects like these will provide the right momentum for a mass public transport across cities in India to switch to sustainable energy sources and help meet India’s climate goals.

Case Study: Ab InBev- 2.6MW (Open Access), Karnataka
Amp Energy India is the main supplier of Renewable Energy to the World’s Largest Brewer- Ab InBevAmp Energy India supplies solar power to Ab InBev via Open Access in Karnataka. This solar power has 75% of energy supply for AB InBev at their Karnataka facility. This green power has helped Ab InBev to make the clean energy transition, promote sustainability and meet their SDGs (Sustainability Development Goals).
Corporate businesses consume almost 50% of the India’s energy generation and have a potential of about 25 – 50 GW of RE adoption by 2023. Amp Energy India is helping Corporates like Ab InBev switch to renewable energy by buying RE power directly and meeting their sustainability targets. This will make India the largest corporate PPA market in the world and accelerate the shift towards RE.

Educational Institutions
Case Study: 1.2 MW (Rooftop), Multiple Sites, Madhya Pradesh
This project is one of its kind where solar is installed on government institutions and was implemented under the Central Government’s Rooftop Solar Programme with support from the World Bank under the Global Environment Facility Fund.Amp Energy has installed 1.2 MW (out of total 2.25 MW) rooftop across Educational Institutions in Madhya Pradesh. Amp won this bid under Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd’s First ever Solar Rooftop Tender under RESCO mode.
The 1.2 MW capacity is installed across 5 sites in Madhya Pradesh such as Bhopal, Jabalpur and Gwalior and supplies power to educational institutions such as National Law University, School of Planning & Architecture, CIPET, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management and Pandit Dwarka Prasad Mishra Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing.
The solar power from these rooftop plants helps meet the energy requirements of these educational institutions and helps them to make positive impact on the environment.
